Not necessarily! We are incredibly flexible. We can perform exams with the child sitting on a parent's lap, in a regular chair, or even standing up. Our priority is their comfort and safety, not enforcing traditional norms.
We minimize sensory overload by offering quiet rooms, dimming the lights, using unflavored paste if requested, and avoiding sudden loud noises. We also encourage parents to bring headphones, weighted blankets, or favorite comfort items from home.
If your child requires treatment but cannot tolerate being awake or sitting still, we offer deep IV sedation. A board-certified pediatric dental anesthesiologist will ensure they sleep safely through the procedure, allowing us to complete all necessary dental work in one stress-free visit.
